Solar power or solar electricity, otherwise known as solar photovoltaic (PV), uses energy from the sun to create electricity that you can use in your home or business.

It will create power from daylight and will still generate electricity for you on a cloudy day. You will then get paid for generating that electricity from your renewable system from the Governments Clean Energy Cash Back scheme. This payment called the Feed in Tariff, is a guaranteed, tax-free and index linked sum of money that will be paid to you irrespective of whether you use the electricity you have generated or fed into the electricity grid – in which case a further additional payment is made.

The price for your PV system will vary depending upon the size of the system you use which in turn affects the revenue generated.
